Configuring Outlook 2010

Outlook is the University’s recommended email client that offers full support for Exchange Features. The University offers full support for this email client, which will be able to Send/Receive, Recall emails, and share folders among employees. The employee will also be able to access their Personal and Resource Calendars.

Outlook Mail Settings

  • From the Control Panel, select the Mail icon.   mail.jpg
  • Select the 'E-mail Accounts' button


  • In the Account Settings window, select your Microsoft Exchange email account and click the 'New' button.  new.jpg
    • Enter the following information:
      • Your Name  -  First Name Last Name
      • For E-mail Address, enter
      • ONYEN Password
      • Retype ONYEN Password


  • Check the “Manually Configure” box.  checkbox.jpg
  • In the “Choose E-mail Service windows select “Microsoft Exchange


  • Click Next
  • In the Microsoft Exchange Settings windows enter the following:
    • Microsoft Exchange server:   
    • User Name:                                     ONYEN (please note if you are not on the AD domain you will need to enter ad\ONYEN)
    • Click on the Check Name button to verify you account details, your username will be underlined when located correctly
