What is a domain account?

About Domain Accounts:

Your domain userid and password are used to log into your machine and map to shared resources in an NT domain. An example of the logon screen where you would use domain credentials are shown below:

Please note: Domain passwords are also used to log into a certain type of email system called Exchange. Only employees who are part of the Department of Medicine (4228) have access to this email system. If you are part of the Department of Medicine, are using Exchange, and need to reset your email password, follow the instructions for resetting your domain password. An example of the web access for Exchange is shown below:
