How do I reset my password?
Identify the password you are trying to change:
Most employees in the School of Medicine have at least two School of Medicine accounts: a domain account and an LDAP account (also referred to as a SOMid account). For more information on these two accounts, please refer to the following knowledge base article:

Reset your password using the School of Medicine password management page:
Once you know which password you are trying to reset, go to the School of Medicine password management page. If you are resetting your School of Medicine LDAP password, click on the "Change Your Password" link under Manage your SOMid password, and follow the instructions (image shown below).
Please make sure to read the password complexity requirements before you try and reset your password. If you need to check when your password will expire, or if you need to make sure you are using the correct credentials, click on the "Check Your Password's Expiration Date" link, and follow the instructions.
Please note: The SOMid Password Management page allows you to modify the password after expiration, but you must know what the password is before changing it!
If you are resetting your domain password, click on the "Manage your School of Medicine Domain Account" link and follow the instructions on the next page (image shown below).
Steps to follow if you are unable to reset your password:
Please note: OIS can not reset passwords over the telephone!
OIS can reset your password but cannot recover a forgotten password. If you need to have your password reset, please follow the steps outlined below.
